CI Founder Fran Rubert Legacy Project

Published on December 12th, 2012

Fran Rubert, a King of Prussia native, Parks and Recreation professional, and lifetime soccer enthusiast, left us too soon this past June. Fran touched many lives with his passion for sports and recreation.

Fran’s co-workers at the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), friends, Parks and Recreation colleagues, soccer and ice hockey associates, and family are teaming up to provide the King of Prussia Soccer Club with a legacy project to memorialize Fran.

During Fran’s life he oversaw a very successful Saturday morning program for King of Prussia Youth Soccer. To honor Fran for generations to come, we are hoping to raise $3,000 to purchase trees, plaque and four portable soccer goals to be used by their Saturday morning soccer program.

The portable goals will be used for boys and girls ages seven and up to play games, practice and enjoy the game that Fran taught many children over the years.

This fundraising project is the first step to create a permanent memorial for Fran. Look for further details in 2013.
