JVR recorded a hat trick to propel the Flyers to a 4-1 win

The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the New York Islanders 4-1 in a fight-filled Saturday night game at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island.  James van Riemsdyk recorded his 1st career hat trick to pace the orange and black. Jeff Carter scored the Flyers’ other goal.  The Flyers are now 5-0 vs. the Islanders this season.  They play one last time on April 9th in Philadelphia.

With this win, the Flyers reached the 100-point plateau with 8 games remaining in the season and sit atop the Eastern Conference 2 points ahead of the Washington Capitals.
